Cyclotis as an OmegaT glossary

Cyclotis can also be used as a distant glossary, again to enable sharing in real time. It can work in read-only mode (the only difference with a local glossary is that you always receive the most recent data, even if they are added after you started working) or in read-write mode (in which case the "add glossary entry" menu in OmegaT will send the data to the server rather than in a local file).

Creating the server

The method is similar as in previous mode. The only difference is that you must create a glossary instead of a memory: glossaries do not store date or author.

Connection

Create a properties file in the glossaries directory of OmegaT. Sample files are given in the plugin archive.

Connection in read-write mode

After you created the file, go to "project properties" in OmegaT GUI and change the writeable glossary to the properties file. OmegaT will detect the fact that the file is not a local glossary due to the properties extension, and as a consequence, "add glossary entry" will be redirected to the server rather than a local file.
